When asked to write an introductory post I knew that my answers to 27 questions could never measure up with the others that had been posted, so I thought I’d let my new camera do it for me. Bobbi Newman’s fabulous Library Day in the Life Project is coming round again soon for Round Four, and she didn’t mind that I get a bit of a jump-start and use the format for this spiel. This time I’m using a Flickr Slideshow, if you’ll view it full screen and check for descriptions under Options or at Flickr you’ll get my notes for each image…
I’m so fortunate to love what I do and that I get to learn from other people, here, doing much the same thing. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of my fellow contributor’s biographical posts and the upcoming Library Day in the Life pieces, all to connect us just a little bit more.

Awesome pics, Marianne. My new year’s resolution was to get in the photography habit, but I stalled out after 6 days of 265.
Thanks, Wendy. I wish I’d been able to upload the originals, they were so much better, but there were so many that Flickr wouldn’t let me without resizing…need to go Pro. I edited them with a free app Irfanview in batch mode, it may have darkened them, too. Oh, and I resolved to blog every day, that lasted about five!
Love it!
What an awesome office – it took me forever to go through this slide show because I was bookmarking sites, downloading plugins etc as I went through. You really inspire me the way you can manage so much info. I, on the other hand, am suffering greatly from infobesity!!! At least I’m searching for treatment, I don’t believe there is a cure!
You’re kind, Stephanie, but the way I take it all in is pretty simple: First, I view Google Reader’s ‘All Items’ in list mode. sorted by newest articles. I scroll down a couple of pages and see if a headline catches my eye and worth expanding. Then I apply PostRank filter, usually on the Great Level. Repeat for as many folders as I have time for, which is usually about 30 minutes day. This gets me 3 or 4 good articles, which I share. The best ones I post to my blog for a more complete record of my learning. Does that help?
Marianne you are so creative! I love your photo journals. You should do this for a year. I’d love to see what you’d come up with. Definitely inspiring and now the moon sand will be documented forever on ALA Learning.
Thanks for the clarification. BTW, I installed PR today, but much to learn and little time…
